locked out

As many of you are aware I take care of a two children during the day as well as an after school on three days a week. Well on Tuesday, I was with the kids outside playing, when the after schooler pushed Xander down. So I told him he needed to go into timeout. Well he did not want to go to time out and after some struggling words I decided to just let the kids go into the house and have the time out there. Well I put Zachary into the house and then went back out to get the other little boy and Xander. When the 5 year old went into the house and locked me out. Of course I did not have my keys. When I told the 5 year old to let me in, he said "no not until I said I was sorry, (for making him go into time out). I was furious. Zachary was inside and because of this child, I could not get to him. Then of course Xander starts ringing the doorbell and getting the dog barking so Zachary starts crying. And to top it all off, while all of this is going on, the nuns who live across the street are out doing yard work, and as I am yelling through the door at the kid, the nun is putting her leaves in the barrel at the end of the driveway, looks over at me, and says" a beautiful day isn't it?" And I just look at her and say "glorious." I finally went next door and they had a key to let me in. Well the moral of the story is never leave the house without my keys , and never put the 5 year old in time (not). What a joy children are. They are choice spirits of god right? Well I now can laugh about it so I think it is all good.

Zachary's 6 month check up

Okay it was a little late, because it had to be resceduled twice, but Zachary had his 6 month check up yesterday. He is now 17 lbs 5ozs. 25 -3/4 inches long and head 42 1/2 CM. He is around the 30 percentile for everything. Stephen brought himall by himself. The Dr. said he is doing great and look healthy. He also go three shots. Yesterday he ran a slight fever from the shots but nothing drastic. I am so proud of my little man and how he has grown up.

Time Out for Women

I got a chance to attend the Time Out for Women's conferencethis past weekend.
I really had a wonderful time. The speakers were amazing. We were wow by the beautiful voice of Kenneth Cope, and laugh through Edmonds antick on How to become a peacemaker, and the other speakers where just as amazing. The thing about the day which so clearly sticks out in my mind is the friendship which I felt towards the other women who came. I was great to attend the confence with such women. Special and to Deb Harris for driving and also what fun it was being your pumping sister.

Some thing I learned while I was their:
Remeber the hidden art form of the letter - Jason Wright
Jerur Salamat - Actual translation Expert in peace (also the name of Jesus Christ) -
CPR - Caring Plus Response

Alexander's testimony

This past Sunday at Church Alexander got up infront of the while congregation and bored his testimony. He shared with everyone a song he knows and sang it to everyone. This meant a lot to us as parents to know that our child not only knows he is love by his earthly parents but that he know that their is a god and that he loves him.

The song which he sang:

I am a child of God:
(Words)

I am a child of God.
And he has sent me here,
Has given me an earthly home,
with parents kind and dear,

Lead me guide me,
walk beside me,
help me find the way,
Teach me all that I must do,
to live with him someday.

I Love him so much.

Summer Baby feast 2008

We went to Cooperstown this past weekend to see some friends at Creekside B&B. Like always we had a marvelous time with the Emerlick family. Stephen and the boys held their annual GUT League draft. It was really nice to see Paul, Hiroko, and Kenzo visiting from Japan. Pat and Kim also brought along their new son Hunter. Hunter is only two weeks younger than Zachary and they both had a blast together rolling and around fight over toys. Of course I think that Zachary won but if you asked them they would say Hunter won. Kenzo is also getting so big he is now just over two. Xander and him played very nicely on their trip.

Okay Funny story:
It was the Saturday morning. everyone was outside in the field next to the creek. Paul and Pat were running and jumping into the creek and Xander wanted to join them. I told him he could not because it was too deep and that he was all dress. As we all began to chat and walk back towards the house, Alexander comes running down the back steps from the house towards all of us butt naked. He was running as fast as his litter legs would carry him towards the creek. When he finally notice that everyone was laughing at him he stops and began hold himself in his attempt to cover up. It was just the funnies thing. We did get to take him to the Cooperstown beach on lake Otsewgo, where he got to go swimming. This time with clothes on.

Enjoy the pictures:

Zachary: Hey Buddy, What is Up?
Hunter: Not Much, You want to be my friend?

Hunter: Hey, What you doing over their?
