Election Day

Just wanted to make a note that we as a family went to vote, Alexander and Zachary both went into the voting both with us. I think it is so important that children learn that is is not only a privilege to vote but it is our duty as Americans. God Bless America. Oh, Barack Hussein Obama Won the election for president, and the democrats have control in to both the house and senate.

locked out

As many of you are aware I take care of a two children during the day as well as an after school on three days a week. Well on Tuesday, I was with the kids outside playing, when the after schooler pushed Xander down. So I told him he needed to go into timeout. Well he did not want to go to time out and after some struggling words I decided to just let the kids go into the house and have the time out there. Well I put Zachary into the house and then went back out to get the other little boy and Xander. When the 5 year old went into the house and locked me out. Of course I did not have my keys. When I told the 5 year old to let me in, he said "no not until I said I was sorry, (for making him go into time out). I was furious. Zachary was inside and because of this child, I could not get to him. Then of course Xander starts ringing the doorbell and getting the dog barking so Zachary starts crying. And to top it all off, while all of this is going on, the nuns who live across the street are out doing yard work, and as I am yelling through the door at the kid, the nun is putting her leaves in the barrel at the end of the driveway, looks over at me, and says" a beautiful day isn't it?" And I just look at her and say "glorious." I finally went next door and they had a key to let me in. Well the moral of the story is never leave the house without my keys , and never put the 5 year old in time (not). What a joy children are. They are choice spirits of god right? Well I now can laugh about it so I think it is all good.

Zachary's 6 month check up

Okay it was a little late, because it had to be resceduled twice, but Zachary had his 6 month check up yesterday. He is now 17 lbs 5ozs. 25 -3/4 inches long and head 42 1/2 CM. He is around the 30 percentile for everything. Stephen brought himall by himself. The Dr. said he is doing great and look healthy. He also go three shots. Yesterday he ran a slight fever from the shots but nothing drastic. I am so proud of my little man and how he has grown up.
